Barite is an extraordinary natural weighting agent in drilling muds, it has proven to be a valuable asset industry-wide due to its numerous use and heavy specific density. Barite is largely composed of the mineral Barium – BaSo4 . 

SMBM sources and processes, large quantities of Barite, different grades are selected by our laboratory teams, with a special focus on quality. 

Due to its heavy density and structure, Barite is now a standard use in different industries. It covers Energy, Construction, Medical and Automotive.

Gravity Separation Processing

Barite is upgraded in our facility using gravity separation, an environemental friendly process, the average production grades are 4.10 to 4.30 gr/cm3. The size is generally 0-10mm, color is from White to off-white and yellowish. The crushing stages are carried out by a vertical impact crusher with a capacity of 50 tph. Different grades are produced and tested by our laboratory teams, with a special focus on quality.

Our Product Offerings

With an annual production of more than 1000 KT of raw Barite Morocco is in the 4th rank of the top porducers. The new strategy of the government is to develop the transformation and benefication units in order to incresase valueadded to the export offer and develop an ecosystem arraound this industry. By 2017 Our company launched it’s first Barite facilty and start processing these minerals, SMBM supplies a wide range of Barite, giving solutions to industry leaders worldwide. 4.20 SG graded Barite Lumps. The purity can be expected with a minimum of 90% BaSo4 concentrate having a specific gravity of minimum 4.20 gr/cm3. This quality can also be jigged as 10mm size barite.

4.10 SG

This grade of Barite Lumps, can also be jigged for a size of 10mm. It consists of a minimum 80 – 90% BaSo4 concentration with a minimum SG of 4.10 to 4.15 gr/cm3
