OUSDIDEN COPPER DEPOSIT

Unearthing a copper deposit

The Ousdiden Project Area comprises 2 mining license areas totalling 15 square kilometres and is located in Morocco’s South Eastern Region. Small-scale mining commenced at Ousdiden at the beginning of the first quarter of 2024 and approximately 5 small-scale underground and open-pit copper, Lead and Barite workings have so-far been identified from within the project area.

Massive Banded Alteration - Cu deposit
Copper sulfide - Cu deposit
Copper sulphide veins - Cu deposit
Massive strike - copper deposit

Project Highlights

We have Explored a wide range of veins, hydrothermal systems and rock samples, a drilling program to be launched. The banded alteration of the footwall rocks in the OSD deposit indicate that the hydrothermal ore-bearing fluids reacted with host rocks in a multi-stage process, for each of the three massive quartz and granite strikes.

Footprint

The Ousdiden project consist of a 15 square kilometers is located in the Neoproterozoic Saghro Massif, in the eastern Anti-Atlas Mountains.

The Ore

Cu mineralisation on all massive quartz veins prospected and defined to date. The banded hydrothermal alteration affecting the host rocks of sulphide veins deposits.

Geological context

Polymetallic mineralization

Geologically, Ousdiden comprises three kilometric quartz veins in the Proterozoic age,  metamorphic and intrusive igneous rocks developed from late Neoproterozoic to Early Cambrian . The host rocks to copper, Lead and polymetallic mineralization at Ousdiden are primarily lower Paleozoic age schists which have been intruced by Permian age granitic rocks and related hydrothermal fracture. We can also distinguish an hydrothermal dispersion haloes with anomalous concentrations of elements, such as Py, Ba, Sr.

The mineralization

Induced polarisation and resistivity  study has been completed on two promising points, we also complete a soil geochemical sampling compaign, geological mapping, grab and channel rock-chip sampling in the permit Area.
